I told cepon3 that I would snap a couple pictures of my 75 gallon low light planted mixed shoal tank and my brand new 46 gallon bowfront that I just set up a couple days ago. The 46 gallon will have over 4 watts per gallon and pressurized co2. I just got the plants a couple days ago from dippy eggs over at p-fury, I still have alot of stuff to get before I start aquascaping, so I just threw these plants in there along with some tetras, I thought this would make a good "before" pic. I'm not quite sure what fish I'm gonna put in there, so if anyone has an opinion... my current stock is in my sig. Please let me know what you think...

now do you have any problems with your Ps eating up your plants i have seen mine pick at my fake plants. and i know then will nip at plants when they make there breeding nests but your are not old enough to breed right ?

nope, no problems with them messing with the plants at all, they love them. they are only about 6 months old, and they are around 6 inches, so i still have a bit of time before they start breeding, but once they start exhibiting breeding behavior, they will be going into a different tank (i think i have finally convinced my girl to let me do an in-wall 240 in the house that we will be buying this summer).

first pictures are amazing/

thanks guys, i spent all last night trying to decide what i wanna put in there and i got absolutely nowhere, haha... oh, and now i found a compressus, so that would be a possbility as well

you should get a 6 inch piraya.. im thinking about going that route for my planted tank.. you know.. the supposed king of all p's.. and i havent owned one yet : (

i am definitely gonna have a huge solo piraya someday soon, but a 6" piraya would get huge fast and he wouldn't have much room in that tank once i'm done aquascaping
