That might be your problem there. Start researching pleco diets. You need to get on top of your water params also, might be a better investment to go in on a test kit, than replacement plecos - N
i would often put in some feeder into the tank for my fishes and the pleco would help to eat the dead fish also, so i rarely feed it unless there are no dead fishes in the tank
I would say this is your problem...feeders are not healthy for any fish. If I were you i would take everybody off feeders. Use raw shrimp much healthier and get the pleco on algae wafers.
you really really dont want a pleco in that tank anyway. Bichirs and Gars are both prone to serious problems if a pleco decides to develop a taste for their slime coat.
