My pleco keeps dying?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That might be your problem there. Start researching pleco diets. You need to get on top of your water params also, might be a better investment to go in on a test kit, than replacement plecos - N

i would often put in some feeder into the tank for my fishes and the pleco would help to eat the dead fish also, so i rarely feed it unless there are no dead fishes in the tank

I would say this is your problem...feeders are not healthy for any fish. If I were you i would take everybody off feeders. Use raw shrimp much healthier and get the pleco on algae wafers.

you really really dont want a pleco in that tank anyway. Bichirs and Gars are both prone to serious problems if a pleco decides to develop a taste for their slime coat.

that is why your fish are diying. if you have dead fish in your tank your water quality is bad. why would you feed your fish feeders ?

That why they are dying....you need to feed them
