My pleco needs help!

At PlecoFanatics.com they talk about that a lot. I had a Blue Panaque that had it but he died 2 days after I got him (probably unrelated to the white patches). A link to their articles is at http://www.plecofanatics.com/articles/
But I don't know if that particular condition is covered in their articles. I'm 99% sure they could tell you what it was by seeing the pictures though. Those guys are awesome with Plec diseases.
PS I know a lot of people in a lot of places recommned Prima/Mela fix but I, personally, don't like the stuff at all. I think I'm the only one besides marine biologists lol

Water changes and at least a general cure to stave off possible side infections, although it may be cheaper to just buy a new pleco if he isn't getting better in 7 days.
