I think he may be a sailfin gibby, not a common. Too many rays in that dorsal fin. He looks great, a lot like my gibby Winky, and around the same size too!

Pterygoplichthys Pardalis (one of many plecos considered a "common") and pterygoplichthys gibbiceps(gibby) both have 11 or more dorsal rays. I believe you may be thinking of hypostomus species wich many are also sold as commons and have 8 dorsal rays or less. So, that is a common IMO.

Good looking plec, but I'd get that boy some wood and fake plants and a place to hide lol He looks so exposed Some of the commons have the coolest patterns and shadings. One of these days I'll give into temptation and get one.
