My Pleuro + Micropeltes

heres my guys, the micro went in with the pleuro, the pleuro gave him a hard time at first but now they do everything together, follow each other around the tank like their best mates or something lol

both are 5"













btw...
has anyone ever had their snakehead fit on them? my pleuro had some kind of fit about a week ago, his head and gill region inflated to about 3-4 times its normal size, i actually thought his head was gonna explode, he was a milimetre away from death, i had to resuscitate him

i think its the males that turn blue, he is male so yeah he should go blue when he gets larger

How do you sex Pleuro's at that size?

I've got a couple and didn't know there was a way to tell when small...
 
i just go by characteristics and behaviour and its usually right lol
i find most fish do have a feminine or male look to them
you can also see the blue in mine alraedy in certain lights
 
hi ron , unfortunatly no experiance with the fitting , can you explain a bit more about it , what was his body doing at the time ect , most channa when annoyed flare up there gills and this can look really strange ,and tense up there bodies and do a kind of flicking motion (could be described as a fit i suppose) this is useally a waring to others in the tank esp. other channa , but when you say you had to rescue him ? can you explain this further
