You should be careful if you're buying a "Palmus" (sic) from a website or LFS. If they are spelled that way, and are not listed as P. palmas palmas or P. palmas polli (or beuttikoferi), then they will most likely be large senegals.


I got a "Palmus" ordered from a pet shop a few towns over, and when I recieved it, it was quite obviously a senegal.

had a S**T day at work today and you guys have really cheered me up! thanks for your comments. id love to enter TOTM but i havent quite finished stocking my tank with plants yet. i plan on adding some foreground plants. im thinking maybe some short grasses or if anyone has any suggestions? im also planning on another birchir and a clown/royal knife. pics will follow shortly so watch this space.....

Thanks for the warning, I know of Sechrest Farms has this problem as I was told by an LFS they had a Palmus and I look and told them it was a Sen....I'll verify this
