MY POLYPTERIDS ... LOAD WARNING ...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello,

"pic machine"?

I love to ...

Yes, it's a great decision for me to photograph all those what's around me - and there are some bichirs ... from day to day i'll get a better understanding of my tuned-up equipment. So the pics will get a bit better from day to day - i hope :-)
The fact that i got so more pics from specific bichirs (in this case the ornate) is by random. Sometimes the others will hide and one ore two bichirs are the "tour tigers".

Hello,

me again ...

More efforts with my new equipment - the external flash unit will get my new friend ...

For persons to guide here are the elements of the used equipment to make the following pics:

Pentax K20D (DSLR-Camera)
Pentax 18-55mm II (standard lens)
Pentax AF360FGZ (external flash unit)

This is a relative simple equipment - but very effective i think. The possibilities of the lens (slightly fish-eye in 18mm) gave me the opportunity to create a more dramatic effect to the scene. And one of the most important points: The Congicus was cool enough to pose ...

Hi Horiyoshi III,

oh, thanks!

The keeping duties are done by my wife due to my medication (i think i'm too poisonous to handle in a fish tank - it's obviously killing mosquitos during their sucking skills!). She is doing a great job to keep the tank clean!

I will post some more pics later ...

Greetings
Uwe

Hello,

here are some more ... Congicus (female) and Teugelsi (very male) together again.
Yes, the Teugelsi is starting several attempts to breed with Lady Cong!

These pics are more related to athmosphere than to the clear, natural showing i'm used to do. Photography has so many faces, even in aquatic.

Hello,

you see: I took time to make pics - and my "models" are in a very good mood!
The pic of the Lap is a result by random ... but i will try to reconstruct the over-all-photographic situation to get some more of these "very jurassic" pics - i really love the strange light ...

Wow...nice photos and bichirs. I hope someday I can afford a fancy camera like that.

The congicus looks great!
