Here are a few shots of my Polypterus palmas polli - a male. The males do have a colouration with much more contrasts than the female. The green spots are present on the pics ... these signs can be seen also without courtship. Lenght of this bichir: about 11 inches (26 cm). I'm keeping him for several years.
