Are these the same as poly senegalus(sp) (dinosaur bicher)? or are they close cousins?
I was going to get a bicher but yours seems to be much more interesting looking. whats the difference?

P. Senagalus is is the dinosaur bichir. These are different species of bichir (or polypterus). But I believe the OP has a Senegal... not sure because I can't see the photos on my phone.

there was a senegal in that tank but you cant see it in the pictures but I have since moved it out of that tank because it was getting bullied by the bigger polys and had its left pectoral fin ripped off but it is growing back nicely.
