Since dan at the link i posted has them and last i remembered he had a min order requirement you could get a bunch and try for a pair. Most people order more than one cichlid when they are at those sizes being that they are so cheap. That way they can either try for a pair or just grow them out a bit and keep the best looking.

I started with 4 or 5 hets and chose this one. Did the same with argentea and zonatus.

Im actually getting the cichlid bug lol again. Im done with trying for cichlid comm's too much work but thinking of maybe growing somwthing out to share the new tank with the pearsei and polys

Put it this way my het is the most behaved fish i have ever owned including when i was a kid and had all sorts of fish. Imo cichlids for the most part cause issues with other cichlids.... a competition thing maybe for territory or mating rights but for the most part will leave non cichlids alone. This is excluding the tough guys like vieja, parachromis and well u get my drift

That bala will end up outgrowwing that tank though

Its a gift for me from my wife, cause i was telling her i want a new tank for my son and me to put a community tank, then she bought it. I was just thinking of buying my son a 30g for his sharks but she got me a 60g tall i cant complain

Thats great man. I think a pair of mating cichlids would be cool to show your son the cycle of life wife might get a kick out of it too. But probably wouldnt be a good idea with the sharks. They get territorial when young are in the tank. Maybe ahow your wife some pics of aome cichlids let her pick and just keep one with your sharks

The faranah and congi always hang out. Really enjoying the dynamic of this tank now. Even the ornate has become a model citizen.

Love the BFF picture of congi and faranah. They are adorable. Like the cichlids as well. Great colors on the cichlids as well!

redtail shark,rainbow shark and albino shark, they are territorial to their own kind, you can only have in one tank, but you know my motto(have more to spread aggression). They say 3 or more so it wont bully just one fish bala shark in the other hand are really nice fish, the only thing is the grow to 1' which other shark only grows to 6".
