Don't see any baffling or individual compartments. Socks gonna be the mechanical i see. Is this gonna be an open media sump? Where media is moving around for the beneficial bacteria growth. Oh ya, for growing your plants too, lol
Thats K1media. I dont have baffes in any of the sumps just socks, heaters, pumps, and bio in laundry bags.
Whwn i first got into sumps i tjought baffles or compartments were needed but umless you have a specific need loke deep sand beds or refugiums they arent a must. Om just aiming for ease of maintenence.
The bio will sit on the empty pond boxes to help avoid any bipass but even that is overkill. Its just something i wanted to try that another member did with his build.
Sat and relaxed with the gang for a bit while the new tank was filling.
