My polys

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know, i never thought that they will be this nice till i got the red pebbles, you were right this whole time about red brings alot of their contrast,

GO TEAM RED PEBBLES:D

The markings will show more and stay consistent. Of course a bright red garnet is ideal. Anything of red will do this. I've tried 5-6 combinations.

it does take some getting use to on the eyes cuz it's a lot of red, but I'm a firm believer with my own substrate experimenting. That when their markings are showing often. Therefore, have a potential to be much more active and swim around. But this just me I guess.

pollyaddict- I know the new change is new. Aside from their improvement on markings. Have u noticed a difference versus your black substrate on activity level?

I think so too, cause what i noticed on my endlis and laps is that they became more active when i put them in the red substrate compared to the old black ones, they do swim more from left to right of the tank instead just sitting around.

Man, I can totally see why everyone get's into the lower jaws, very cool looking.

Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 how big is this tank?

Red all day everyday for polys lol .... And purple haha.... I ordered red garnet awhile back and when I got it it was purple I put it in anyways and u should see my koliba ..... Not a day has gone by where his color hasn't looked amazing same with my other bichirs b4 they kicked the bucket in my opinion purple works just as well as red from what iv experienced
