Hello Andri

I was thinking of getting an ornate but I keep only lower jaw species like you do, plus I have a rope fish and a tire track eel. Do you think that the ornate could cause some problems when he gets big.

Did you think about that? Have you had any problems with the ornate?

thanks, the lighting is 4x39W T5 with 10.000K bulbs.
the tank is 200x60x60cm, that is around 80x24x24inches

May I know way you are not worried. The reason is that I really want to get the ornate but I'm afraid that he would eat some of my other fish in the future.

i dont have any experience with full grown ornatipinnis but what i meant was that im not worried with my 2 ornatipinnis with my other polypterus & ropes. I dont think the size diffirence will be that much anytime soon.
How big are your poly's ?

Go bigger than a 55 get a 120 or 125 at least because, they tend to be very addictive after you get 2 bichir.
