My pond build from this past summer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I forgot to leave a pump in the bottom drain, boy is tomorrow going to suck getting a pump into the drain. I can already hear that awful sucking sound as I try to walk in that mud, I'm going to lose a shoe :(

Hey, that's a ready made mud wrestling pit! Or at least that's what my fiance and her sister thought when mine got flooded by rain before I had a liner in it...

Conner, mud wrestle pit, bring over the ladies!!

GirlFishJunkie, give me another week or so to complete the job. I saved all the receipts, but I'll have a lot of returns (plumbing)

Liner is finally in!! Tomorrow the 55gal drums get hooked up for the filtration system. Monday cut the liner for the drains, returns and skimmer and add water, if the weather holds out start building the waterfall.
Once the water starts going in, I'll work out the wrinkles

Not telling you what you don't already know but seal the liner into the drain before you cut it. Looking good.

My last pond, I cut a small X in the liner above the bottom drain and used PL roof & flashing sealer and then installed the ring and then trimmed. The stuff is great, the directions say not to be used underwater or something like that. The bond that stuff has is unreal and you can immediately add water. I swear by this stuff. If the old drain wasn't cemented in I could have lifted it out by pulling on the liner. It sticks great :)
