actually, i use to have 2 red eared sliders. Last summer, I put them in for a few hours, took a nap, woke up, and only found one. The other one must have climbed out. I would need to put a fence around the pond in order to put my other guy out. The only problem is trying to create a fence that looks eye apealing.
