Beautiful.... Love that dark red lily. Is it a tropical?

No it isn't. It's a Black Princess Lily. It's my favorite too. At one moment this summer that Lily had 5 flowers at the same time

Thanks to everybody for the good words.

Now the pond is prepared for our tough Canadian winters. Snow can be here at any moments now.

i never attempted to construct a pond but about how long are the life span of a tarp in terms of longevity

No, they all died last year. I just want to try one more time. Now I have cut everything and send the Lotus in the deep to protect them from the freeze. I am in zone 4, but it supposed to works

If the lotus don't make it this year, and they should using that method. You can over winter them indoors very easily.
