LOL^ @ Aaron. But it is true, I do not use a pellet of any kind as a STAPLE, I do feed pellets, but also like to feed a very good variety of natural foods as well. Shrimp is fine for yuor Oscar, just make sure they are the uncooked frozen shell on type. Also, do as knifegill said and make sure to throw in some crickets at least once a week.

Hikari is fine. I fed Hikari for over 10 years and not a single case of HITH

I need some ideas on what I can do with my Oscar... I have now treated him with metro MS and Mardel Maracyn-two but haven't seen any results but improvement with his scale problem. The HITH is still looking bad and I don't know what to do. He has been in a 20 gallon med tank for a week with antibiotics and the nitrite was a little instable which is counterproductive so should i put him in the big tank again?? I made some filter improvements on the 40 gallon sump and now have more bio media to make sure the water quality is at its best. My fire mouth and fire eel seem to be doing great in the 150 so I don't understand what caused this to happen but that he may of come with the HITH??
