The one gar has a broken tong. The same thing happened to my Arapaima. He was going after a feeder goldfish and hit a rock and the bone stuck out just like your gar. It never bother the Arapaima and just wanted to let you know.

thanks! they spotted and gator are 15 and 17inch, the 2 cubans are ard 22". they're on shrimp, sometimes smelt and whole fish

thanks for the info! i bought him like that, and the previous owner told me the gar had shrimp shell stuck in there. but this makes more sense. thanks once again, and yeah it doesn't bother the gar either.

how much do they cost?

they ran me at about 200USD each
