Lol. I've always just tossed flesh in my tank, my shoal won't attack till it hits the bottom. Unless their really hungry. And no matter how much I toss in they will always eat every last bit or save just enough for the crawfish.
My baby serras wont touch food once it hits the gravel. So getting them to eat prepared food was a pain. Hanging it was the easiest way to get them off live fish fins. Not to mention it made cleaning up really easy.
Huh maybe serrasalmus have different eating preferences then rbp, my juvy serras attacks anything, no matter where it is. Rbps just like everything to settle before they feast!
