well congrats on the spawn. sometimes the fish have to go threw a breeding process, which will take 4 spawns before they get it right, kinda like practice makes perfect. I was going to say, that the male will usually watch the eggs until they hatch, look for the shrunken belly of the female (it's different than the other females, the females have 2 sacks one on each side, and they fill with eggs. When they drop the eggs, the skin in the belly area will be saggy. When you see the belly area tight again, she is full of eggs, and probably going to be ready to drop again if the perameters are right). that's how you'll know who the female is, when you have more than 2 fish in the tank. good luck in the future.. andy
