review my build for my 360 gallon. I built everything for the tank myself and cost me 150$

lights 10$ from home depo but with expensive bulbs(20$)

10$ powerheads off ebay.

How does this sound? Buy a saltwater set up with EVERYTHING included for $550 and then sell my freshwater set-up for around that much with EVERYTHING included???

Most of that expensive lighting and other fancy stuff is for live rock. You can do a fish-only on the cheap. It's not much tougher than fresh. I've looked into it myself and the only thing I'd want that I don't already have is a better sump. I don't think you'll even need a protein skimmer with a fish-only tank.

just use your marineland canister for your 90g and call it a day... **** i am selling a 90g full saltwater set up for 250$ right now...

That's wonderful........I wish you lived in MI - $550 is a lot more - but do you think I should still do it? Everything that is included is more than $550..........don't you think??

-90 gallon tank with sump hole already cut
-stand
(-heater I am guessing since he has fish in it)
-U.V. Sterilizer (over $300 new)
-Sub Tank (not sure what this is)
-Built in Sump (over $600-$700 new)
-30lbs. of live rock ($180 new)
-four powerheads ($200 new)
-Day/Night Lights ($150 - $500 new depending on how many bulbs are in it)
PLUS I don't have to pay for the sump to be built and stuff......

good deal??????

I don't know what you are planning on doing, but chances are you don't need 90% of that crap. Waaaaaaaaaay too much going on with a bunch of little elements in your LSS layout.

I suggest you practice the KISS method:
  • Keep
  • It
  • Simple
  • Stupid
If you are doing a fish only tank, basic $20 shop lights will work. A basic canister filter or really big HOB style will work just fine. No need for all the phosphate junk, calcium stuff, UV and the rest. You also aren't going to need 90 lbs of live rock. Use a few pounds to get the tank started cycling, and let the rest of it cure in the tank. No need to buy that kind of junk.

I'm not going to buy all that stuff!!!!!! And I don't want to do a fish only tank.
