Thanks my friend! Yep, I have always had dogs. My last dog (RIP) was a 16 year old DEA trained German Shepherd female I was lucky enough to be able to adopt. I had her for 13 years. Smartest dog I have ever seen! Before that was a 6 year Eastern Timber Wolf. I adopted "Six Pack" when he was just a pup.

I haven't tried sled running myself yet, nor has Tundra been hooked up to a sled. The lady I mentioned does a lot of nationwide competitions and really knows her stuff. She thinks Tundra is one of those "once in a lifetime" dogs when it comes to sledding. Of course, I will have to try it too when we are there :)

I haven't had a Malamute, but I know what you're saying! They are an absolutely gorgeous animal! These Huskies are my first ever Northern Breed.

Hey Jim :) Like I said, we have several in Rescue. Next Saturday, my daughter and I will be at the Nebraska Humane Society for their annual Adopt a Dog week. Our Rescue will have a table set up with a few of the calmer dogs with us. You should stop by :)

Thanks everyone!

Im really getting the feeling of getting a dog now :)

let me tell you something one of my favorite dogs is a huskie and id grab 2 or 3 from you..but im 16 as you might know and its parents house parents rules type deal plus i dont know where you are lol so theres some problems but still beautiful dogs you got there!!

Hey FM, good morning :) And, thank you!

Beautiful dogs, I'm on my second husky now and she never fails to amaze me. She had some developmental problems when she was younger (she's about a year and a half now), so one of her front legs is bent a little bit sideways, but somehow she still manages to be one of the fastest dogs I've ever seen. You're right about them being smart, fortunately she's a little less independent than most huskies and she's only escaped a few times, and whenever she does she just runs over to this one neighbor of mine's house, where she sometimes plays with my neighbor's dog, and waits for us to come get her.

so awesome to see them at play... in their favorite element ..cold and snow.. great pictures... of very handsome huskies.. good luck on finding them a forever home.. they deserve it and thanks for being their advocate...
