once i breed these and raise the fry to 5cm, i will be selling all of my other stock, to focus on my little blue eye zons

Btw, any traits you're expecting to have on the offsprings? Or just gonna let 'em grow up and pick the best?

Update: the zon is becoming more agressive towards myself, he has pretty much paired with one of the cutteri. They have cleare the sand next to one of the pots and thugs are looking good. Will let you know of anything else

Another update
The zon is growing fast and the cutteri, not so fast. As the zon is growing he is showing more and more aggression. He is roughly 13/14cm an the cutteri are barely 6cm.
I am having severe doubts as to whether they will breed. They did show interest in each other before but it had died down now. Feeding time is agressive.
Do you guys have any idea on how I can induce spawning? Other than adding a dither (such as a con) as the cutteri will rather breed with a con..... Thanks guys
I have little hope for this project anymore but there is a slither of hope left in me!!!!

You can try adding africans as dithers. Something that's not too aggressive, but will challenge the territories of both the cutteri and the zon, which could possibly induce them to really bond again (i.e. fight against the same common enemy). ) And since africans can't crossbreed with the americans, it'd be fine.
