My rarest import ever! Leptobotia elongata!!!

they're doing great, I just changed the substrate today to make them happier. I'll update photos in a few days. The larger ones are eating 3" smelt whole, and growing really well. Once I get them more acclimated, I may move a few around to keep with other fish to test out how well they'll do.

don't put them with a fire eel.I tried it and there was a battle.I have my big guy eating shrimp and just started eating massavoire pellets.He is now with plecos and soon discus.

thanks a mill. Wes. they came in great and ate tubifex worms within hours. just got one to eat shrimp pellets as well. 3 days in the tank with 12" catlo carpios and they are thriving!!! they're reall territorial though, might have to get a few more to even out the aggression. i've wanted these for 10 years or more, haven't seen these in 15+ years.

Good to hear that got there good., glad you like them. where did you get the 12" catlo from, rich? that's where they went to damn!!! I wanted them. I only have a couple of 5" ones., and taking forever to grow! I was just about to write to you to ask how they're doing.

i got 3 of them from you and 1 from Ly. this was over a year ago, they were only about 3-4" then, when you were up here. i guess salmon pellets really spur growth!!
