Holy **** everybody quit your bickering and give this guy the info he wants/needs. Sbroadacz, a 125g will not last you very long at all with a ray. Might I recommend thinking about getting a 180g? It will last you longer than a 125 and it's alot more water. And please sir everyone is trying to help you with this don't argue back
Well put!!!!!
Another thing, you may want to find out if it is wc if it is you should probably quarn,n,treat in another tank or at the shop before you put him in, prazipro seems to do the trick almost everytime, oncew again no one's trying to beat on you.

When you say quarn and treat, how long does something like that take? You can just do that in the regular tank as he/she would be the only one in the take for a little while.

I'm not an expert on Sting Rays but I would think you would want to Quarentin the ray for 2 weeks to make sure that it is healthy and eating properly. I'm not sure how long the meds should be used for. There may be a sticky for that.

2 weeks minimum. But you are right Chrom. Make sure he is eating properly also check the spiracles to make sure there are no problems, remember this is only if it is wc, if it is cb captive bred the work should be done for you and there should be no issues. Also, Quarantine should be done in another tank the reason because some meds kill bb and your back to square 1, they can change your water chemistry and screw up everything, unfortunately I know this from dead fish and aggravation. Prazipro is not the be all end all either depending on whats going on you may need to treat with somethimg else.

Makes sense. I'll ask. I'm going there this Thursday or Friday to check the ray out. If it was wc I'll ask if they can do everything, since I won't have an extra tank available and they are suppose to be setting up a tank just for the ray.

1 thing you can notice for parasites is feces, if it is black ray is fine if it is stringy and white or off white you got a problem.
