My rays are all dying :(

Just dropped the rays off at the lab. They charged me $60 to do necropsies on both of them, which I thought was quite reasonable. Will let you guys know when I get results.

Sorry for your losses.. reading threw your thread =( I'm assuming your going threw UWM's school... i've heard nothing but good things from them on other pet species. Hope the Autopsies can at least give you a why. I always hate loseing fish to a big "?"

That will be a big help to everyone. Maybe we can find out what is going on and work to reverse or prevent the same situation down the road.
 
Sorry for your lose, I've considered dropping the hobby over incidents like this. I'd just like to throw in source water as the likely culprit. I've seen source water contamination wipe out multi hundred gallon set ups in one go. Rays are susceptible to copper, even a small amount copper sulfate contaminate just once will clear a ray tank real fast. It's the main reason I use reconstituted RO. I don't trust municipal water as I've taken too many losses due to changing safety requirements.
