My rays, aro and pbass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Fish look really good. Wish I could find a nice black aro. Rays and the P bass look good too. If you want to fatten up your little retic up fast, just shoot some live black worms under it's disk with a turky baster. Thats what I did when I got my little 5in retic and she fattened up in no time.

Thanks guys. I have worked a long time on getting this tank to where I want it. Now I just need a pair of leos and it'll be done. Its a 125 btw.

I put the filter in there when I set up the tank. I just never pulled it out. The rays seem to like pushing it around so I leave it.

Pbass are about 8" now I would guess. Everyone except the rays are on shrimp, so thats their main diet.

Honda12, I would feed blackworms dy doing that but blood worms seem to be working well. Well that and I cant afford bw right now after my car accident. Thats kind of limiting the money.

Thanks guys :D

Good work on the Tiger Ray  I thought it was a goner for sure!

Looks like that substrate is working out for you too, I thought it might of looked a little abrasive..

BTW, Blackworms are tenfold more nutritious than Bloodworms! An inexpensive alternative is to chop the larger earthworms into bitesize pieces..

Good Job!

Well you did fine with the tiger ray so I am sure you will do fine with the retic.

Miles, I've worked hard on this tiger. Its been a long process but I think hes reached a point where hes pretty tough. When I first got him he was super sensitive to nitrates. Now, he never hides (except when Im messing with stuff), and is always looking for food. Tigers are really not as sensitve as some people make them sound.

Yeah, I know bw are more nutritous, but Im poor. He is getting cut up earthworms too though, and he does eat a small bit of shrimp. I think the little guy is doing fairly well food wise
