ok, so i was just doing my normal maintenance on my tank today, i got out all my stuff and got ready to clean the gravel as i do once every week. i put the siphon into the tank and started cleaning and within about 20 seconds my ray started to try and eat the siphon... was the weirdest thing i have ever seen.
he would come up to it looking for food and i guess it would suck up a bit of his disk, he would freak out/swim away and come right back and do it again... i was laughing so hard. he did this about 6 or 7 times then eventually stopped trying to eat it and just went about his business.
has anyone seen anything like this from your rays?
this was the first time i had seen him do this.
and i havent changed anything in the tank or added any fish since the last time i cleaned the gravel, maybe he was just being a jerk and saying "you shouldnt be cleaning, you should be feeding me" lol
anyways, does anyone have any insight into this ?
