Hello everybody. I really need some help here. I have lost 5 rays now, and it's the same every time. The ray stops eating, and gets heavy breathing. After about a week it dies. And again after all from 1 week til 1 month The next starts exactly The same Way. It has never vejen 2 rays at The same time. I'm panicing. I dó not have the obortunity to get them examened but i thought parasites after reding about another member in here. I medicated with tremazol (prazi) 4 data ago but now my orbignyi ray will not accept food. It have not started with heavy breathing yet, but i know the patern. Any ideas???? All help is welcome, i have tried all i think..

2600 liters is like close to 700 us gallons or so I think.... Maybe you should get a different test bc all of that in one tank seems to be a lot. Hopefully a ray expert can chime in here but I do know that rays alone are very messy and most of these ray keepers do bi weekly water changes. But all those rays 3 big silvers and those cichlas might be a little much. I may be wrong though

I have 2 x fx5, 1 pond canisterfilter 7500 liters pr. hour, and 1 odyssae canister filter.
in the pond pump there is a 20 w uv. in the odyssae there is a 9 w uv, and on the outflow of the 1 fx5 there is a 36 w uv.
the big arows have been in the for 2 weeks only.
When i set up the tank in september there was 1 fx5 that were "ready" and the odyssae.

When i chance water i use carbon filter. and liquid filter media, for neutrulising metals, cobber, etc.

I read this quickly on my phone... I thought the aros were 60 inches... and I thought you had 4 rays PLUS the 4 that you named...now thinking I'm pretty dumb for even assuming that lol. You should probably do bi-weekly water changes. How long as the tank been up and running?

The tank has been up running since september 2012.
I have a quarentine (530 liters) tank ready. Would you move the orbigney??
I think if it is having a parasite mayby?
And thanks for replying
