yea, so buffing out some scratches tonight SUCKED! but i can def. see the improvements. There were just MINOR scratches so I think just 1 more time around with the #3 and #2 novus and the buffer and it will be rdy. Gonna try and make the stand and p/u the sump tank this weekend.
 
Oh yea, I feel your pain; It took over 9 hours of buffing when I got my tank; the guy who had it before me sanded the entire inside with 80 grit sand paper by hand; it was so scratched you couldn't see through it; worth it when your done though; There's a guy over in Edmonds WA that has a 250 with everything on CL for $ 500! Too skinny for me though plus the wife moans every time I look at more aquariums!
 
OOOK all the novus buffing is done. And i tiled the bottom with Grotto Black Slate/porcelin tile, it looks GOOD! not total black, like a smoke charcoal... and I got the stand almost done, just gotta put the front skin on and cut the doors out. Ill post pictures here in a bit. I went with a 4x4 bottom frame, with 4x4 vertical uprights to the top frame which i did with 2x4's. horizontal top supports with 2x4. the thing weighs as much as the tank i think...maybe alil more. I know the 4x4 is OVERKILL but i would rather be safe than sorry.
