any input and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking
Sean

Well I didn't get to see anything with the lights being off and all as you had posted, but I will check back during the day to see what's up. Cool idea with the live feed.

Lights are off. 7 hours or so until they turn on. Glad to see this is not just a waste of time. I use this setup so I don't have to worry about my tank if I want to sleep in. It is also great for checking on them when I am at work.

You might want to look into a moonlight or something similar since you have the web-cam running 24/7.

And I really hope this is just a temporary tank since you have:

About piranha babies:

this is my 35 gallon planted with 8 baby red belly piranha. Live feedings most days with the odd fillet if i am having it for dinner. Keep your eyes out for the little guy. He will initiate the chase every time.

And you may want to switch your feedings to fillets most days with the odd live feeding as a treat... Don't sacrifice your Piranhas health for your own desires to see a Piranha kill something...

thats cool, make me want to do that with my kigoma front setup:)

this is defenately not a tank for life.

In regards to feeding live. I have 2 feeder tanks that I alternate use of and the feeders are under my watch for no less than 30 days before they are food.

I have been keeping rbp for 5 years this may. I have one "full grown" rbp that is easily 12 inches long in a 45 and he loves it.

This tank is a red sea max 130 so the moon light is built in and I find the filtration more than keeps up with these little guys.
