,but y r u useing 2 300 watt heaters for a 75g tank?i have a 450 gallon tank running an one 400watt heater is good.
maybe unplug one and save:nilly: some green backs:headbang2.imho
 
I figured maybe it would keep the tank evenly heated, and if one failed the other would keep the tank hot.

running two large heaters doesn't mean you are burning money, two large heater can quickly heat the tank to the set temperature then shut off compare to one smaller or similar heater that has to be on for a much longer period of time in order to maintain the same temperature. only down side I can see for running multiple heaters separately is that their thermostats could be slightly different so that one heater stays on longer then the other one even when they have the same temperature setting.
 
Its not a great shot, I can take a better one I just happened to have this one handy.
