I would suggest stop feeding him goldfishes. There are better foods out there and wouldn't want a nice specimen like your guy getting sick from them. Goldfishes are usually some of the most mistreated fishes out there and are usually not in good health.
Here's a quick list of a few
Krills
shrimps
earthworms
beefhearts
frozen bloodworms
pond or ramshorn snails if you have infestation of them
There's alot of high quality pellets out there, a few that I use most often are Hikari cichlid golds, Massivore Delite, Dainichi, and Omega One super colored cichlid pellets.
