I thought we were all here to share knowledge and help each other out.

I have been keeping cichlids for over 30 years, and I am learning new things everyday.

In my opinion we all need to be more open minded, and the more experienced MFKers should know better and be more willing to help the younger guys and gals. I would rather eat a little crow and help a young person to mature and carry on the traditions that make this hobby as great as it it is, than to win a pissing contest and deter someone from wanting to continue in the hobby. You never know one of these young people might grow up to be a serious biologist and travel the world to bring us all some great new species to learn from and enjoy in our tanks:drool:
 
If they were to take the advice its fine but to try to make it seem like they know better is a different story..

I agree, everyone needs to be a bit more open minded; those receiving advice as well as those giving. I can see how having your advice spit back in your face by a penis would be irritating.

hahahaha!!! Yeah the OP was given many useful pieces of advice and refused to acknowledge them, The pissing contest was bound to happen when the OP refused to take the advice given to him.
 
I agree with Mike. I'm surprised with some of you, folks. Why some people feel the need to call each other names and insult blatantly in public is beyond me. Feel free to read the TOS again before you end up in bigger trouble. Thanks.
