Im goimg to be performing a major tank maintanence/remodel on this tank today. A 15% water change, im going to be glueing some coral frags, moving them around, moving some rocks around, feeding fish/coral, cleaning glass, and manually removing some more nasty cyano.

I removed the rubber band and success! The leather coral has attached.

I moved that red mushroom that had fallen off its rock a week ago. I didnt like the location it chose for itself, you couldnt even see it unless you looked from the side in the corner. Also it was a low light, shady portion of the tank, not to sure it would have liked that spot long term.

After moving the leather coral just a few inches it started spewing white stringy muck all over the tank, its everywhere, what a mess.

The hammer coral was the only one that wasnt moved although it seemed to sense a disturbance and closed up for the night.

I bought another pound of live rock just 2lbs total from today and friday.

I glued those zoanthid frags to some rock and moved the rock to different spots on the tank.

Sumed up, mostly a lot of minor, insignificant changes. A few inches to the left here, rotated 60 degrees there, etc...

Hi so it looks like tomorrow i am going to meet up with a local guy. We are going to trade corals. My leather for his duncan. But since technically im not going anything new, im just doing the switcharoo, actually im lowering the bioload since the duncan is less than half the size. It is a win-win for everybody. Parents dont like the leather, they want it gone. Hence trade, id rather not waste it/throw it out. I think it looks pretty nice but they think it looks worse than aptasia, *gag*.

It is nice that your parents are somewhat personally invested in your interests, even if your tastes aren't 100% the same :-)

For what it's worth. My tank was completely ammonia free after 6 weeks. Not only did I use my home test kit but I had a LFS test it. My tank was good to add fish at 6 weeks and I have not suffered any losses in the tank and I am now currently at 4 months. Is the tank fully cycled after 6 weeks? Probably not. But it was safe to add fish.
