Diogenes;2868390; said:dude...that tank is sick! Really nice. Is that going to be his new home? I ask because that thing is just begging for a shoal of caribes...

jp80911;2868447; said:LOL I totally agree but sadly no.
That tank will either be the new home for the rhom I just rescued yesterday or my 4" BDR after he finishes with all the oscars I got for free (their fins of course not the whole fish) still deciding.
I was originally planning to use that tank to house 8-12 caribes but then I'll need to spend a lot more money on food cuz they eat like there's no tomorrow. with my new born son I really need to save as much as I can for diapers (believe it or not, he goes through diapers faster than caribes goes through food) and other stuff so a shoal of pygos will have to wait unfortunately![]()
I blame that to the availability of caribes, if they were in season couple months earlier then I would've gotten them already.
anyway, I hope I can start a caribe tank together with my son when he gets biggernever too early to start him with piranhas

I said I would put a padlock on the hood or something if she was worried about it. I figure it's gonna be a long time before they can ever reach in there, and if what they say is true about kids being 10x worse than their parents, my kids are going to be more carnivorous than a shoal of piraya! I'd be more worried about the kid hurting the fish, not the other way around. Has this ever come up in your household?
