Also here's a pic of one of the females. Lips get BLACK once Ina while depending on mood, and according to Thomas weidners South American eartheaters book "adult females may develop almost black upper and lower lips apparently signaling their readiness to spawn" hmm? :D

Thanks buddy, and that's a geophagus sp porto franco which is suppose to be their own species. Other experts also call it geophagus aff Argyrostictus 'araguaia'. I got him by accident last year with a batch of Argyrostictus 'xingu'. I pick up 5 more xingu Argyrostictus this past Tuesday :)

Are they aggressive with the Retroculus? And for that matter, what's the temperament like on the Retroculus?
 
G. Potro Franco is very aggressive, G. Argyrostictus are pretty aggressive and retroculus don't bother anyone but themselves lol. Male retroculus are aggressive towards each other and the females. Females are aggressive towards themselves.
