My Rhom is a wussy how come?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah its really rare for p's to start finger chasing as soon as they hit the water...try to make em comfortable and give him some time to adjust

damn if its like that then yea give it away and dont own P's nemore..if ur lookin for just agression in a fish a piranha isnt the fish for u then....

LoL dont give up after a few days. It took my 8" S. Maculatus dang close to 6months to come out of his shell and when he did he did! Its like he just woke up one morning and decided to kill everything and chase everything!!

Start putting your hand in the tank and flick him a bit. After a few months he will grow and become annoyed and try to kill you every time you enter the room!

17 posts hey? this guy must not know what he's sayin'. first, a rhom wont grow within few months, he'll get few centimeters bigger every year! by pissing him off, you just make him nervous, not agressive. and 20 gal of pure fury ...well...not comments...

PLEAZ try to know what you are doin when buyin some livin' things. your oscar alone shouldnt live in a tank that small...n if the japnese guy who started this thread doesnt even know anything about rhoms, dont buy one man! at least go get some info before sayin "oh **** that i'ma just throw it away since i realized i dont like it"....

shiiit man...

sorry, bit a hate here, but some people dont realize that these creatures dont live for your ONLY pleazure n u can do whatever shiit u want 2 with them...nywaz

That guy is a freakin idiot.... Put your hand by the piranha and flick it. You wont get near the piranha... they will flee and try to avoid you at all costs.. Piranhas are not very shy fish... :screwy:

Wow. It's been 4 days and because the fish isn't fully acclimated and aggressive enough for your standards so you think you can just get rid of it?

What happened to patience? I mean honestly, that's pathetic. Just because you've grown up in a world where you've known nothing but instant gratification through the internet, tv, and whatever else doesn't mean patience shouldn't count for anything. If you really did have intentions of returning the fish because it's not chasing your fingers like a mad man in 3 days then do both you and the fish the favor and find it a GOOD home; then get rid of your tank if you're not willing to be a responsible care giver for A LIVING THING. The fish is not just 20 dollars worth of entertainment that you keep in a glass box with water.

What's going to happen when you're an adult and you're banking on a boy and your wife pops out a baby girl? Are you just going to shove it back in there and say redo? I mean really dude, anticipating and expecting certain behaviors or personalities from any living thing is just naive and silly.
