Well I've always wanted to do this for my Macklot's cage so she can climb. At first I was looking online at buying rock climbing rocks for people. I was unable to find ones I liked so I looked into doing it with foam. I bought the foam the one day, and returned it the next. I am just way to lazy to be doing that. So I figured that my cheapest idea is also one the eco friendly :) lol, insted of throwing away unwanted wood, I just cut them with the mitre saw and coated them a couple of times with polyurathane and here we have it.

I might add a few more blocks to the wall.

I had no idea what kind of reptile this was. I was like what kind of monitor or 4-legged reptile can climb that then I saw the pic. lol

Nice, looks real good.

Nice. Think Macklots are found by rocky caves and wall areas?

I don't know about the cave bit, but I'm sure they live near rock outcropings. Besides, they are semi aquatic/areoboral type of snake. She loves to climb.

you could go and get some cement and lay it around the rest of the background or even cover the wood with it and it would look a lot more natural....

Good advice.

So Z Trip, from your observation, about how much time (percentages) does the snake spend arboreally/aquatically?
