yeah I would say he is not fertile at that age he would be able to and four try not looking good
What I would suggest you do. Is get a normal Texas and attempt to mate it with the Rose Queen. One your Red Tex is not faded and will not ever full fade so the color will not be much of a factor. Two most of the genes will come from the mother so you will still achieve your goal. Three you will not have a set back because you will not have to worry about the male. That mix should produce you some nice fish this way you should give it a try
If your squeezing thing works with the jag and I don't think it will, but if it does scrap them they won't be worth your time. I 99% of all Jag mixes I have seen are not good looking and you will definitely be pulling away from the look you were trying for with these two fish.
