Absolutely beautiful, one of the few Royals I have seen without white striping at the borders of the caudal fin... quite a rarity.
 
Great story and a great Royal. The pattern is a little different, very desirable. Looks like a dull eye crossed with a Xingu. Has his pattern changed much over the years?
 
Pattern hasnt changed alot since I got him.Dont know what he looked like as a youngster though.
 
thats awsome, I do freecycle too and theres usually no fish on there, usually just 10 gallon tanks

you guys are so lucky as this and most other fish cost lots of $ in australia
baby royal costs $600 anything bigger and the price goes up! :cry:
