My RTC ate my Arrow

I just got rid of the killer cat I gave him back to my LFS so if anyone is in ATL the killer RTC is for sale a Asian Tropical on Jonesboro Rd my camera was stolen last week while I was in Seattle

That sucks. Asian Tropical is a good store. It will get decent care there. I go to their other store in Charlotte, Asian Tropical II often.

You’re not the first or the last to loose your fish to a RTC but sorry to hear of your loss I have to admit I have one and my pond cant be finished quick enough as I just know this is going to happen to me if i dont pull my finger out.

It was a silver I still cant believe he got it in his mouth!!!! I new that catfish was evil I should have gotten rid of it after she ate my pike and my flagtail lesson learn I will never own one again

Hey the same thing happen to me... my rtc ate 2 of my pikes and a flagtail.. rtc was 9" and pikes were 7-8" his stomach was huge... i would never imagine that it was possible for my rtc to swollow... Now i still have my rtc and now he is about 14", he is with my 20" Jardini... ain't no way he will be able to try and eat the jar! at least for now! Even though he has eaten other fishes... he is still one of my favorite Monsters!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. I would freak out if that happened to me. Such a beautyful fish to loose.I think my pet cat would be eating catfish that night. lol
I have a 22 inch Black Aro in with a say 8-9 inch RTC and I actually saw the Aro grab the RTC by the head after the RTC got a bit pushy and there was a real life struggle going on before my eyes. Now the RTC is totally $hit scared of the Aro and flees for his life when the Aro is headed in it's direction. There has been no more disputes, I think a territory dispute happened and my Aro solved it quick. I am totally amazed and saddened that your RTC managed to do that. Now I know what to do within the next year. Grow up another one and obviously no more RTC's.
Man, that really sucks.

Last night I heard a loud splash in my tank did not think nothing of it look in the tank this morning to see my arrow tail hanging out of my RTC mouth that is the last draw he have ate at least 300$ worth of fish so if anyone live in Atlanta want a KILLER CAT you can have him local pickup only

that sucks man, sorry for the loss. Seems like every week someone on here posts about an RTC eating something, they really are killers, the juviniles just look like a giant head with a red tail attached to the end, all stomach

they certainly are not killers

a red snakehead is a killer

an rtc is just a hungry fish
