yea IDK about that, the new minimum tank size for a Jaguar has recently been changed to 500 gallonsJag will upgrade to a 120g when/if he hits 14" based on their growth I figure I've got a few years![]()
lol yea...I was actually just kinda joking and I agree w/ you, but I will give some credit to some of the people here with talk of "high-energy" fish that need more room to swim.....fish that jump and smack the glass and are always full of vigor. In this instance i'm starting to think a larger tank might be better for certain species, regardless of the fish's size.lol, meh the whole debate on min tank size is pointless. I go based on water quality and ability to move around. If an Oscar which typically hits 14" is suggested as fine in a 75G then any other fish of similar bulk and activity should be fine in similar sized tanks with ample care. Key factor is ample care. Realistically this hobby is by no means perfect and most fish should not be in the hobby period; however they are and it is our job to just make the most of it.
