must be approaching the 6" mark now - the pics dont really do him justice as far as the blue in the finnages goes.

Is that just a reg oscar or a wild one?

its a Petco special, lol. i'm not too sure, it was labeled as a tiger oscar but i think he is more of a common. below is when he was a juvenile, the ones that look like him with the really crisp and defined red/orange don't develop as much color as the ones i consider to be true tiger oscars who have fainter orange throughout their entire body as juveniles.

the largest sev i've seen in person was about 8 or 9". how long did it take yours to reach 6"?
 
that's a very nice oscar. Almost looks like another species other than ocellatus???

the only other thing i've been able to come up with is astronotus crassipinnis, but there's not a whole lot of info out there on them. so for now, oscar it is.
