I'm pretty sure they haven't bred yet. If they did you would notice big time because their color would change and they would charge anything the came close. Try a few water changes and wait to see what happens.

Update.. Just did a huge 60% huge water change and re arranged everything. A hour later the pair found a similar area in the tank and is attacking me already. The clown loaches are out, couldn't find the convicts but I don't think it will be a problem. Refilled my filter cartridges with some peat moss, and ammo chips, never used either of them before. Hopefully the peat moss helps.
