Saigas are not rusty or coverd in nasty oil or have nasty betten up wood stocks

All three are over twenty years old...yeah, rusty and nasty huh? Have an SKS that is 59 years old and its never been shot! I also have an M39 that is 64 years old and has never been fired either. Well the M39's receiver is 106 years old as it was made in 1903 but the barrel was put on in 1944.

I'm guessing from the responses I've read from you you're young. Which is ok. But I don't think you know enough about the AK variants/platform if you say that all AK's the same.

I would take even a beaten AK over a new M4 anyday.

Kalashnikov would probably punch you and then take his gun back.

/Not related to AK's but my buddy has a 1926 Mosin 91/30 hex barrel and for the money there is probably no gun that can come close. Old guns FTW.
 
Nice but I'd rather have the Saiga 12. It's on my "To Buy" list.

Two entirely different rounds that were designed to do entirely different things.

Man you have no idea what you are talking about. Because you are young I will cut you some slack (after all you say you have an illegal FA but you dont have the keys to your safe). But for your info, 7.62x39 has significantly more muzzle energy then 5.56/.223. It also has greater penetrating power.

Like all cartridges there are pros and cons, for example 7.62x39 doesnt have a flat trajectory, especially compared to 5.56. Both are good rounds and both are devastating against soft tissue.

Oh and $90 Mosins are where its at! 7.62x54r is a BEAST of a round, oh yeah and its over 100 years old too!

For what its worth, IMO guns as we know them,hit their peak after WWII. We are limited now by ammunition. Until there is a major advantage in what is actually fired (sounds silly but think laser guns) there will be no major advancement in hand held weapons.
 
well it is so much as a on purpose fa just its been shot so much that the sear pin is kinda realy worn down
( needs to be replaced does anybody know where to get one at ?)

yea I LOVE THOSE M91 the 7.62x54 is a great round it reminds me of a 30-06


the 7.62x39 for shorter ranges cause it can pack a punch but after 100Y its realy losin its beastlyness lol

but it doesnt realy matter i would rather have my dads m16 any day lol besides the fact that you cant abuse it like a ak you can pour mud in the chamber of a ak and it will still shoot ( hehe iv done it ) after i watched a video on utube about it lol
