I agree bro and bossy for sureSajica are super slow growers for the size they get. Pretty sure I got mine around the same time as you at the same size and mine isn't a whole lot bigger. But ya these guys are huge pigs.

I have a little female for him but grows way slower as well but I think you should give yours time I'm assuming he's growing larger bc of dominanceI'm growing out 8 fry in a 55 right now. I really enjoy mine. As soon as I come into the room they all swarm the top right corner waiting for food. THe largest one is just a little over an inch right now but he's already showing sajica coloration. I'm thinking I may have to separate the smallest 4 as I'm not seeing as much growth in them. Will give it a few more weeks

Wow that yellow is intense they look real niceHere is mine. About 1". I have 3 of them in my mixed 75gal. 2 of them show yellow edges to their fins and the other, the "runt", looks like yours with red highlights

Do you have any idea when these fish decide to start pairing up and breeding? Is there a minimum specific size or a certain amount of years they are mature enough to breed. My male is quite active but notice he chases females away a lotHere is mine. About 1".
