ok soo today i went ahead and cleaned my 29 gallon tank to make way for a new salt tank, well i put my 45 pounds of live sand in a bucket and rinsed it 3 times.. the bag said rinse it until its a milky colour which i left it at. i then put it in my tank and filled it with regular water and it was really milky so i drained it fully and filled it again this time with my good water with my salt mix in it, i have 2 hob filters running to try and clear up some of the milky water looking stuff which the bag says will settle, i also have 2 air stones running on full because the salt mix says to let it air out for a while before you add anything... anyways pictures are better than words so i will upload what i have so far, all the help is appriciated as this is my first salt tank and i want it to go well.

looks good other than you rinsed all the live sand and killed all the good bacteria.

Otherwise good start

+1 ha ha, its okay, live sand is over rated anyways.

What kind of powerheads. Im going to speak out and recommend koralia right now. As far as the "low end" (price wise) powerheads go, these guys are top of the line. Otherwise...VORTECH! :D

the koralia 2 is going on sale for 20$ a piece the bag said rinse the sand so i did lol.... oh well im buying some live rock on Saturday as well only a few pounds for now just to start the bacterial build up will let everything grow for a month or so then i will add more, and then after that im going to add my first fish, how does that sound???

anyone? does my plan sound good? lil update the tank still has that milky colour to it the bad says will clear in 24-48 hours so im just waiting, should i turn off my 2 hob filters and just let the stuff settle with no movement in the water or should i keep them running?

the **bag
