My school project about fishtanks

In class i am doing a project about fish tanks. From the very begining to the most technological tanks now days.I dont know much about this and thought you guys might, so if you know anything could you help me out?

I'd contact some of the members here who've been in the hobby for a long time--they might even be able to get you pictures of older (slate bottomed, etc) tanks.

Some aquarium books may have diagrams or pictures that you could use. Some of the older books might show setups and filters that are no longer widely used.

Id go back even further, for a thousand years Im sure it was just a fish in a tank, mabe you could mention historical figures whove kept fish?
