my first arowana was a silver aro
but it died in three days of its homecoming

now i have a 6-7 inch jardini in a 30gallon tank with a pair of TSN catfish(6" each).

am building a new tank (6'x2'x2') should be complete in another two to three days.and have seen a 10" silver aro and can't resist bringing him home once the tank is done, is it a good idea.

can you suggest any other tank mates.

i was also hoping to get a pair of spotted gar pikes

and a five inch sailfin pleco

i wouldnt mix the aros jardini will kill probally all the other fish you have.

southern india (mysore it is)
but the silver i saw is nearly ten inches big
and the TSN catfish have been living with the jardini even in the LFS's display tank and with me they have spent a month

ok no jargon

a jardini aro is very agressive once the get to 10-12inch and will probably kill any fish you keep with it

the tiger shovel nose will grow to 3ft each fish you have 2 of the they will out grow your new tank fast they can grow 1-2inch per month

your best bet is to do some resurch on the fish before you buy anymore

your new tank 6x2x2ft wont be big enought for even the silver aro they can grow to 3ft+
